Anna Tuori completed her studies at the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki and the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris.
Tuori was the Young Artist of the Year 2011, shortlisted for Ars Fennica prize in 2007 and Carnegie Art Award in 2008.
Tuori has exhibited internationally since 1998 and her work has been the subject of numerous solo, such as Hard, Get Up, Galerie Anhava, Helsinki, (2017); Anna Tuori: Paintings, Russian Academy of Fine Arts Museum, Saint Petersburg (2012); Some Remain So, Galerie Suzanne Tarasieve, Paris (2012); There Is No Place Like Home, Galerie Anhava, Helsinki (2014); and Blow Out Your Candles, Laura, Helsinki City Art Museum and Tampere Art Museum (2011) museum exhibitions both in Finland and abroad.
Tuori participated in the Biennale of Sydney in 2014 and exhibitionsDark Days, Brights Nights: Contemporary Art from Finlandat Kemper Museum of Contemprary Art, Kansas City (2015-2016);Trial & Error, Galleri Bo Bjerggaard, Copenhagen (2010) and Ars Fennica: Finnish Art Now, Scandinavia House, New York (2007).
